Sherri Eden Barber is a New York based theatre director, Artistic Director of Ricochet Collective, and Resident Director of HAMILTON on the West Coast. Recent Directing Productions: To Let Go and Fall (Theater Latté Da), Tiny Beautiful Things with Nia Vardalos (Pasadena Playhouse), Esperanza Spalding’s Emily’s D+Evolution (Development on European Tour), Happily After Ever (Ricochet Collective – 59E59, Edinburgh Fringe), good friday (The Flea Theater), Only You Can Prevent Wildfires (Ricochet Collective – Teatro Circulo), Gordy Crashes (Ricochet Collective – IRT), Mr. Landing Takes A Fall (The Flea), Herman Kline’s Midlife Crisis (The Beckett), 24 Hour Plays on Broadway with Pablo Schreiber, Laverne Cox, and Melanie Griffith (American Airlines Theatre), Monstrosity, Polaroid Stories, and BENT (The New School for Drama), The Lightning Thief (Theatreworks USA), Men On Boats (Yale Dramat). She has developed new work with Rattlestick, Orchard Project, The Flea, Culture Project, Chautauqua, and The Old Vic. Formerly, Sherri was the Program Director for the Drama League, the Head of MFA Admissions at The New School for Performing Arts and Core Company Director at The Orchard Project.
Recent Associate Directing credits include: Tiny Beautiful Things (The Public Theatre), Daphne’s Dive (Signature Theatre), Faust: The Concert with Randy Newman (Encores! New York City Center) and Family Furniture with Thomas Kail (The Flea), SWEAT (Broadway, Studio 54) with Kate Whoriskey, The Girl from the North Country (The Public) with Conor McPherson. Sherri was Kathy Najimy’s AD for both of Glamour Magazine’s These Girls events featuring Rashida Jones, Olivia Wilde, Ari Graynor, Zosia Mamet, Amy Schumer and Amy Poehler among others, at Joe’s Pub, NYC.
